There's ups and downs to everything in life.

The upside? Maryland blue crabs are still absolutely delicious. And I got my hands on them last night for dinner. Gah, all I need now is a pitcher of Natty Boh and I am so set.

The downside? They're fifty dollars a dozen. GawdALMIGHTY. Thank Christ for friends and family, let me tell you. Maryland blue crabs are obviously a huge luxury in these tough economic times.

Y'know, the state of Maryland doesn't have a thing to worry about as far as the blue crab population dying out... just charge people an outrageous amount for crabs during a recession! They'll come zooming back like an Australian boomerang, heh.

For those of you that have never had the beautiful, enjoyable pleasure of eating a Maryland blue crab, or for those that have tried but it ended up pure fail, heh... I present to you "the right way to eat a Maryland blue crab". Actually, this kid's got it right, for the most part. I don't advocate eating the mustard out of them, though (or "guts", as he put it)... for me, personally, I find it disgusting. Ugh.

Enjoy. While I enjoy my crabs. :D

As opposed to an American Boomerang that just keeps blundering in a straight line? :D
