More silliness....

Since I'm feeling a little better these days, I figured that it might be time to inject a little silliness into this blog, heh. So I now present The Saturday 9 - just another of those crazy little blog thingies that people seem to like to do. I don't know that I'll stick with it, I'm looking for ones I like, but... well, time will tell.

1. Do you think it was important to send a man to the moon?

I don't know that it was important, exactly, but I think it was a good idea, simply because it partially satisfies our curiosity as to whether or not there's more life out in space to be found. I don't know that there isn't, of course, but at least we know there's no such thing as little green Martian men with space suits and Mohawk headdresses (think Marvin the Martian, heh). Though I think Marvin's kind of cool, he's a smartass.

2. What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear right now is that my depression will return to the point where it was before, simply uncontrollable and turning me into a person I don't like and that others don't like. I never want to be back in a situation where I have to be locked up again, ever.

3. If someone hung a sign around your neck today, what would it say and why?
"Get This Fucking Sign Off My Neck"... haha, no, I guess not. Perhaps it would say "Tired but satisfied". At least for now. That's how I feel.

4. What is the longest line that you've stood in and was it worth it?
I don't know that I've ever stood in any huge, long line for anything - I've been pretty lucky in that regard. I guess a line for an amusement park ride, though what it was I couldn't begin to tell you. Was it worth it? I wouldn't be there if it weren't, so I guess the answer to that would be yes.

5. As the holidays approach, what song are you looking forward to hearing again?
This sounds stupid, but I like the Jackson 5's version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". I actually have that myself, but I do like hearing it on the radio on occasion. Some of the new country artists are doing a good job with the holiday stuff, too. I like original holiday works, as well. But the usual, eh. I try to avoid the radio during the holidays, anyway. As well as most other times.

6. Whose music do you think is the most important of your generation's?
This is a hard one, because music started dying around the time of my generation. I used to say that Nirvana killed it, but in truth I don't think that's so. The hip-hop and rap shit killed it, because it's now inescapable. You can't get away from it, it's in literally every genre out there. I guess that one could say Nirvana was the crowning point for music - of my generation - but for me, it wasn't. I liked all kinds of things, just as I do now.

7. Do you find it is to be kind to strangers? Give an example.

I'm not sure if this question meant 'easy' or 'hard' - I think there's a word missing - so I'll take it as 'easy'. For me, no. It's not easy at all, because my first instinct is to think humanity is full of complete idiots. I have my moments where I do show kindness or empathy, though, that's not totally dead. I try to donate to places that need it, causes that are important to me, etc.

8. When do you usually lose your patience?
Immediately. No lie. Patience is not one of my strong suits.

9. Is there a book that you're dying to see as a movie?
Honestly, I'd like to see a remake of 'Flowers in the Attic'. It's already been made but it was so bad that it was laughable. FitA was a great book, creepy and sick, and I think that in the right hands, it would be a great scary, fear-inspiring movie.

Hmmm... interesting. Maybe I'll stick with this one, the questions were actually thought-provoking....

i agree with the Flowers in the Attic. There's something wonderfully cheesy about the ending, but that grandmother to this day in that flick scares the piss outta me.. LOL
